Sophie has just graduated from the University of Exeter with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography.

In the coming year, she plans to take a year out to travel, seeking new experiences and broadening her perspectives on global environmental issues. Through her role as a Young Trustee, she aims to leverage her academic background and personal passion to support YPTE’s mission, fostering environmental awareness and action among young people. She is excited to contribute to initiatives that empower youth to make a positive impact on the environment and to collaborate with like-minded individuals dedicated to creating a sustainable future.

Sophie has been a Young Trustee for YPTE for five years and is eager to continue her journey with the organisation. Throughout her tenure, she has had the privilege of attending prestigious events such as the Earthshot Prize Awards and representing YPTE at the House of Commons. These experiences have been incredibly enriching, allowing her to engage with influential figures and advocate for the importance of environmental stewardship.
