Free School Talks
Our free, live and interactive online talks via Zoom, Teams or or Google Meetings are available to schools anywhere in the UK. In-person talks are available again, Covid restrictions permitting, to schools within a 30-mile radius of Better Planet Education's headquarters in Yeovil, Somerset. Remember that all school talks are completely free of charge and are subject to availability.

The talks we have on offer are
Humans and the Environment
An engaging introduction to the many ways human activity affects the planet, exploring key environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, energy use, deforestation, and waste. These talks aim to raise awareness and inspire action through simple, practical solutions like reducing consumption, reusing resources, and recycling—encouraging more sustainable choices in everyday life.

Nature
A fascinating look at the natural world, exploring the diversity of wildlife and habitats both locally and globally. These talks cover topics such as animal adaptations, the importance of pollinators, minibeasts, and endangered species, while also highlighting how we can protect and encourage biodiversity in our own gardens, schools, and communities.

Nursery, Reception and KS1
(Note: some of the talks available maybe a little advanced for nursery and reception)
Fun and interactive nature talks designed for younger learners, introducing them to the wonders of the natural world. Through exciting creatures like bees, butterflies, and minibeasts, children explore where animals live, why they matter, and simple ways we can help care for the environment around us.
