Max has spent his career in sustainability working to address climate change and social inequality.

He was inspired to join Better Planet Education as a trustee to support young people in discovering their love for the world, and nurturing that through school and into their careers.

Prior to joining Shoosmiths, where he is responsible for all elements of the sustainability programme, Max led sustainability strategy development and implementation across a variety of public and private industries including finance, healthcare, chemicals and the NHS.

Max has a Degree in Physical Geography and a Masters Degree in Carbon Management, as well as having completed an apprenticeship in Leadership with Imperial College London.

Max lives near Cambridge, but is based in London for work, and is involved with a number of charities as a volunteer, especially within the Social Mobility space, where he mentors and provides support to the next generation.
