YPTE gets support from Southern Co-operative

The new store, which has created 18 jobs for local people, opened on Monday (8 June), and is now open seven days a week from 6am-11pm. The Southern Co-operative has donated £500 to YPTE to celebrate the store opening.

Peter Littlewood, YPTE's Director said: "We are really grateful to The Southern Co-operative for their fantastic support. Their donation will be used to help us fund another educational film for our growing range of online video resources. The videos help young people to learn about the environmental issues that will
affect them, both now and in the future and how they can help to make a difference."

Store Manager Peter Burraston said: “I am really pleased we’re helping local charity YPTE as it is vitally important that the next generation are aware of the world around them and the impact that they have on it. It is fantastic that young people can see and learn what they can do to help care for the world in which they live. I believe we should all try to do our best to ensure that the future generation has a sustainable world to live in.”
