Heatwaves

Produced in partnership with the Royal Meteorological Society, this pack of four lessons aims to develop young people's understanding of heatwaves, which in a changing climate are becoming more frequent and more severe.  Lesson themes include:

• What are heatwaves?
• Why are heatwaves dangerous?
• How can schools prepare for a heatwave?
• What is your school like during a heatwave and how could it be improved?

The pack contains extensive lesson notes, PowerPoint presentations and activity sheets.
