Meat Free Mondays - Health

In the UK we eat 25 - 50% more meat than is recommended by the World Health Organisation.  Eating a lot of red and processed meat can increase the risk of some cancers and heart disease and may increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.  Meat forms a nutritional part of many people’s diets, but perhaps if we all ate less, but better quality meat, the benefits to ourselves and to the planet would be greater.
