This suite of five lessons covers the topic of Classification for the Year 6 Science Curriculum and includes lots of learning activities, resources and key word definitions. To be used with the accompanying PowerPoint presentation, which as ever is full of great images to bring the topic to life.  Areas covered include:

  • History of classification, including the work of Linnaeus
  • Grouping micro-organisms
  • Grouping plants
  • Grouping animals
  • Using & devising classification keys
