Planting and eating in season

As Autumn approaches and the leaves begin to fall, many abandon their outdoor pursuits in search of the warmth indoors. If you find yourself missing the connection with nature you had during the summer, why not start a seasonal garden?

Following up on the article from January “Eating in Season”, here are some plants that will thrive if planted now, and some recommendations on seasonal produce this time of year.

According to the BBC, here are crops you can sow in October (however, don’t forget to protect them with cloches or fleece later in the season):
